« It’s too soon to be absolutely sure what art and antique treasures will appear at Tefaf in Maastricht, since the annual fair’s stringent vetting is done only the week before opening, but among the probabilities are: A magnificent 17th-century still life by Willem Kalf from the collection of the Earls of Warwick; a Gustav Klimt drawing of a woman in a fur coat; an 11th/10th-century B.C. Chinese bronze vessel; and a Louis XV commode owned by generations of Rothschilds; a Joshua Reynolds painting of a disciple of St. Paul (circa 1772), listed as missing since 1905.
